"El Jefe" Beer Can Chicken
Favorite Canned Beer (Or Cola)
1 1/2 tbl smoked paprika
1 tbl "El Jefe" Garlic Habanero Craft Salt
1 tbl onion powder
1 tbl granulated garlic
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp dried thyme
2 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp black pepper
Rinse whole, raw chicken inside and out, pat dry.
Open beer or cola can, drain about half the liquid.
Mix dry spices and "El Jefe" Garlic Habanero Craft Salt, rub down chicken with mixture.
Stuff fresh herbs into the chicken cavity.
Heat grill to a medium-medium low heat.
Place small sheet pan onto grill.
Set can of beer/cola on sheet pan.
Place chicken over can, large cavity should fit right over can.
Make sure chicken and canned beverage are stable and not going to fall over.
Close grill lid.
Cook until internal temperature is 165 degrees or juices from the thigh run clear when punctured (about 45 minutes).
Remove can from chicken.
Quarter, slice, or pull chicken meat, sprinkle with "El Jefe" Garlic Habanero Craft Salt.
Serve hot, enjoy!
